Position Description:

AIG has an opportunity for a Field Production Specialist Lead for our surplus lines casualty division. He/She is expected to work effectively in an independent manner to successfully manage his/her book of business of new and renewal production along with contributing to the profitability for the surplus lines business portfolio of the region. A Field Production Specialist Lead must be able to illustrate sufficient technical analysis and underwriting acumen combined with marketing and sales skills to meet underwriting goals (i.e., achieve growth targets and maintain loss and expense ratios). The key responsibilities of this position are as follows: • Under general direction, underwrites assigned risks. Generally has greater underwriting authority and handles larger accounts and/or more complex risks than the Senior Underwriter. • Building and executing on a personal strategy for P&L management of their book of business. This includes setting up a broker plans, target account lists & pipelines along with arranging and monitoring plans for poor performing accounts.

Position Requirements:

• Minimum 6 years’ related experience • Ability to underwrite a variety of casualty risks, design coverages as well as primary and excess layers and structures • Relationships with 1st and 2nd tier brokers in the Region and knowledge of complex multinational risks preferred • Strong interpersonal skills with emphasis on collaboration and working well with others • Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook necessary
