TECH TRANS INTERNATIONAL INC HR Generalist (Benefits Administration)__ in HOUSTON, Texas

TechTrans provides language services and travel logistics language teaching, interpreting, translating, travel coordination and much more. We have offices, staff, and clients across the world. We are seeking a HR Generalist with benefits administration and labor union experience for our Clear Lake/Houston, Texas office. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Administer various employee benefits programs, such as group health, flexible spending accounts, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, 401(k), and wellness benefits. Assist employees with health, dental, life and other related benefit claims. Work with Labor Unions, negotiating Collective Bargaining Agreements, working through grievances and collaborating with upper management as issues arise. Coordinate workers' compensation claims with third-party administrator. Follow up on claims. Obtain statistics and information in renewal process of any health, life and retirement plans that benefit the company and manage open enrollment Manage FMLA cases (including intermittent) Administer the company 401k plan and respond to 401(k) audits Maintain physical and electronic files, records and documentation for HR department Assist with implementation and monitoring of policies, procedures and HR programs/initiatives Provide support to employees and managers on Human Resources issues, including answering questions, researching and resolving issues, and processing paperwork Maintain Human Resource Information System and input employee data and personnel record updates (personal information, benefits data, skills data, etc.) Utilize the human resources information system (HRIS) effectively to produce ad-hoc and routine reports Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed Participates in benefits audits and tracking of all benefit costs and conducts HRIS audits to address any data integrity issues Interfaces with staff at all levels of the organization Required Skills & Experience: Bachelor s degree in Human Resources or a related field. A minimum of 5 years human resources experience with benefits and 401(k) administration, labor unions and collective bargaining agreements. Knowledge of human resources principles, policies and procedures. Previous government or federal work experience preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite with the ability to calculate, analyze, prepare and present data in Excel or similar formats (will be tested) Experience with HRIS & ATS Software Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation. Attention to detail in developing and composing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines. Excellent spelling, grammar, written and verbal communication skills.
