The HR Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative and HR support to the VP, Human Resources and the HR team for the Corrosion Protection Platform. Responsibilities will include updating and maintaining employee information, processing new hire paperwork, employment verifications, background checks, assisting with screening of resumes, scheduling interviews, arranging travel for candidates, processing unemployment claims, and assisting with recruitment efforts.
Position Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Drafts new hire offer and promotion letters, termination letters, disciplinary communications and other employee correspondence as directed by the HR Managers and HR Generalists.
Acts as primary contact for coordination and processing of new hire paperwork, pre-employment background checks, drug tests and motor vehicle record screening for prospective new hires.
Generates various employee change of status requests to the Corporate HRIS team for input into the current HR system (Fusion). Examples: promotions, transfers, terminations, salary increases, etc.
Updates and forwards employee paperwork to document HR actions and ensure data integrity of employee HR files.
Perform employee orientation and onboarding training of CPP Office Administrators who support the onboarding of new employees.
Prepare various HR reports utilizing information from Fusion, JDE and applicant tracking systems.
Support the HR team in the preparation of quarterly incentive plan bonus payout requests, spot bonus requests and other compensation requirements.
Maintain and distribute employee information, policies, communications broadly to employees and the Office Administrators as required.
Act as initial contact for employee questions regarding benefits, policies, award programs and employee concerns. Coordinate providing responses by working with the Corporate HR team and/or the HR Manager assigned to the specific business
Assist Recruiters and HR Generalists with posting of open positions, initial screening of resumes, scheduling interviews and travel arrangements, and administering assessments to candidates being considered for employment. May be required to source and screen candidates for entry level positions.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required
Two to three years of experience in Human Resources
Proven experience as HR Coordinator or relevant human resources/administrative position
Knowledge of human resources processes and employment laws
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle data with confidentiality
Solid organizational skills and ability to multitask
Strong ability using MS Office, database and HRIS systems
