Position Summary The ConocoPhillips MBA summer internship program includes a challenging job assignment, plus orientation, field trips, social activities, weekly seminars, and opportunities to interface with management. Your supervisor will provide periodic performance appraisals along with coaching and guidance throughout your internship, as will the mentor you will be assigned. Near the end of your internship, you will be asked to give a presentation to local management about your work assignment, as well as what you learned from the internship program.

The MBA Development Program includes roles within Finance, Investment Appraisal, Investor Relations, Project Development, Market Intelligence, Specific Business Units, Strategy and Business Development, and Treasury. Assignments will typically be at our site located in Houston, TX.

Responsibilities may include:

Performing economic evaluation and risk analysis for proposed projects

Analyzing financing options for the funding for capital projects

Evaluating investment and disposition opportunities

Preparing budgets, forecasts and profit objectives

Developing economic and business models

Participation in a modeling excellence case study Qualifications: Basic/Required:

Legally authorized to work in the United States Pursuing a Masters/MBA in Accounting or Finance Completed Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field Expected graduation date: Winter 2017 or Spring/Summer 2018 A minimum of ten (10) continuous weeks availability for internship Preferred:

Minimum cumulative MBA GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale Minimum cumulative Undergraduate GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale Strong economic and financial analysis skills with modeling capabilities Previous internships or co-op's in an energy related field Proficient with Microsoft Office products Ability to encourage new ways of looking at problems, processes or solutions Ability to effectively communicate and transmit information so it is received and understood in the way it was intended Develops realistic plans needed to accomplish objectives and team goals Demonstrates a strong commitment to delivering results while maintaining a safe environment Demonstrates collaboration by actively seeking out diverse people and organizations to collectively achieve business goals Demonstrates decision making ability to generate effective solutions based on available information and makes timely decisions Adaptability to respond resourcefully, flexibly, and positively when faced with new challenges and demands To apply for this position and be considered for an interview, please complete the following steps:
