WSP|Parsons Brinckerhoff is currently looking to hire a Lead Civil Engineer to help build our presence in the Texas transportation market. Some of the upcoming projects we will be working on include clients such as TxDOT, the City of Houston, Harris County, and Fort Bend County. This position can be located in either Houston, Austin, or Dallas. The selected candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Lead a Civil/Highway Design Team

  • Lead Projects from conceptual and preliminary engineering, and final design activities

  • Coordinate with other design disciplines such as structures, hydraulics, traffic, and utilities, etc.

  • Hands-on in the Preparation of Plans, Specifications and Estimates (PS&E)

  • Review, monitor and/or develop complex layouts, sketches, plans, specifications and estimates standards and guidelines, correspondence, and/or prepare reports

  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Education Required:

  • BSCE from an accredited program is required

  • Texas Professional Engineering License

Experience/ Skills Required:

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in highway design and plan production.

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience with Microstation and Geopak or InRoads

  • This person must be capable of demonstrating creativity, foresight and mature engineering judgment, and successfully managing multiple task assignments

  • Experience with TxDOT and Local Municipalities associated with Transportation Projects in Texas

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a team environment

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in Hydraulics and Hydrology
