Position Description:

VALIC specializes in retirement savings and investment products and services, including individual variable and fixed annuities, group retirement products, mutual funds, financial planning and investment advisory services and guaranteed investment contracts. VALIC has been in the 403(b) market since its inception writing the first K-12 403(b) program almost 50 years ago.

Position Overview: The successful candidate will be able to perform a leading role in defining the future state of leveraging predicative analytics with VALIC’s Retirement Operations area. One of the goals will include the establishment of foundational elements related to Customer Relationship Management (CRM). The ideal candidate with be able to articulate predicative analytics and data science ultimately resulting in the tactical delivery of a solution. Recommendations will need to have a meaningful level of leading indicators while leveraging lagging indicators to validate improvements over time. Daily trending and analysis will account for impacts to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). A level of skill around predictive analytics is needed in order to provide leadership with a higher degree of decision making. Key recommendations from the future manager will include a strategy to refine the use of existing databases into a modern scalable technology that reduces technical debt.
