The Manager, Sales and Operations Planning coordinates activities across Logistics, Supply Management and RDC / Forward Warehouse Network Operations teams. The outcome of the S&OP process is an achievable distribution plan for receiving and shipping activities. The individual in this role will also participate in multiple process improvement and efficiency initiatives as well as mid to long-term planning projects.


Key Accountabilities

  • Provide the Transportation and RDC / FWN Operations teams with weekly inbound and outbound case/pallet forecasts, projecting a twelve week planning cycle

  • Develop processes and reports structured to achieve a balanced, executable distribution plan the needs of redistribution

    · Deliver tactical strategies for seasonal and event planning in order to ensure a cohesive plan across all departments

    · Provide timely and decisive direction on day to day issues while working to overcome ongoing obstacles

    · Demonstrate flexibility and resilience with new demands, unanticipated challenges, and a reclassification of priorities

    · Define data, reporting, and process requirements for day to day inbound/outbound case movement. Develop a Supply Chain Issue Process with documented definition and process flows

    · Design, plan, and execute continuous improvement steps in relation to sales and operations planning

    · Develop planning template and facilitate meetings with the supplier community in relation to specific seasons/events

    · Work with transportation to effectively plan replenishment volume across all modes of transportation

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly supervise Capacity Planner and Capacity Specialist staff

  • Minimum eight years of Supply Chain experience in one department or combined tenure across Logistics, Operations, or Replenishment


  • Strong problem solving skills, communication skills, leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities

  • Analytical and detail oriented

  • Proactive in identifying and resolving issues with minimal direction while keeping management informed in areas of importance.

  • Ability to establish and maintain solid working relationships with company associates and well as the supplier community

  • Ability to complete assignments on time and with high quality under tight time constraints

  • Proven skill to be hands on within a heavy workload environment


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Supply Chain, or Business or equivalent experience

  • APICS Certification is a plus


  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence

  • Ability to effectively communicate among team members, to other corporate departments, and to OpCo personnel
