Primary Job Responsibilities:
This product marketing manager position will own and be responsible for the technology analysis, customer research, future product planning, and cradle-to-grave lifecycle management of our graphics cards and GPU compute solutions for our mobile and desktop workstations. They will be the voice of the customer during product solution development, working with R&D and Supply Chain to insure that we deliver compelling products at the right time with the right cost structure that positions us above the competition. This person will play a lead role within HP’s Leadership Graphics Program to drive the graphics strategy for the business. Specific responsibilities include:
Knowledge expert and technology analysis of Graphics and GPU compute roadmaps from NVIDIA, AMD, and Intel and how this will shape and evolve the graphics industry
Develop and maintain strong relationships with external partners/suppliers
Plan and execute long-term graphics card and GPU compute strategy/roadmaps that maximize AUP’s for the workstation business and establishes a leadership position in the industry
Work proactively with key analysts, industry experts and lighthouse customers to generate/validate graphics product line strategy
Works with regional partners on graphics programs for promotions, training, and sales enablement/escalations
Coordinate graphics requirements and roadmap definition with commercial notebook and desktop product teams, and the Display DBU
Perform customer research projects to accurately assess customer challenges, needs, and wants and to specify product requirements
Monitor competition and prepare competitive analysis relative to this product managers’ specific products
Develop business plans to support/justify POR and new product line to the GBU staff
Manage product lifecycle from cradle-to-grave including: SRD, POR program/development, launch, product refreshes, IRS updates, discontinuance, etc.
Consult with and influence R&D and Technical Marketing to insure appropriate benchmarks are done to highlight the advantages of the newest technology
Be the product evangelist and champion within the global business unit and with the regions, working to help resolve product issues and/or realize new sales opportunities
Be the product expert for marketing communications, customer visits, event participation, sales training, and AR/PR opportunities
Develop core marketing content for workstation graphics including: specifications, messaging, and positioning, pricing strategy, other key collateral required for new product launch/introduction
Work with R&D to improve efficiency of product development, lifecycle, processes, and workflow
Develop strategies to increase awareness for AMD solutions in the industry with appropriate communication/action plans for HP/AMD management chain
Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering/technology. Ideal candidate also has an MBA.
Multi-year experience with professional graphics (marketing and technical)
Vendor management and vendor negotiation experience desired
Experience in product marketing and/or product management desired
Demonstrated business acumen for product marketing management and proven ability to apply marketing fundamentals
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, at all levels of management, with demonstrated ability to influence and persuade

Experience in focus group screener, moderator guide development, market research experience would be preferred
