WASP | Parsons bringer is seeking exceptional candidates for the position of Senior Supervising Engineer for our Houston, Texas office.
The successful candidate will possess traffic engineering management and marketing experience in addition to providing technical support and task management in traffic engineering design, including Intelligent Transportation Systems, traffic signals, lighting, and traffic control and traffic operations analysis including macro and micro simulation experience. The ideal candidate will have an educational background in traffic engineering principles and methodologies and transportation design.
Specific duties include:
Staff Supervision and Mentoring
Traffic signal design and timing
ITS design and operations
Traffic engineering analysis
Operations analysis for arterial, intersections, freeways, ramps and interchanges
Transportation planning. Experience with corridor studies and alternatives analysis is desirable
Coordination with other engineering disciplines
This individual will also assist in development of proposals, presentations and business development efforts.
Applied project experience in the fields of traffic and transportation engineering/planning required.
Substantial experience with tuxedoed and municipalities in the Greater Houston area is required.
Experience directing tasks and preforming Q/QC is required
Experience in ITS design, intersection design, pavement marking, signing and striping design, as well as preparing complete PS&E construction drawings is also desired but not essential
proportional Engineering license in Texas and relevant tuxedoed Pre-certifications (group 7-Traffic Engineering and Operation Studies and Group 8-Traffic Operations Design) or ability to obtain within 3 months required
Minimum education requirement is a Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering
A Masters degree in Transportation is preferred
