Additional Summary Specific to Job
This position interacts with applicants, students, faculty and Student Affairs Offices for all activities pertaining to the processing of academic applications for admissions. This position works with all other office personnel to ensure the achievement of the Registrar's Mission Statement.
The primary responsibilities include:
Complete data entry of transcript data into the Degree Audit Reporting System to calculate admission GPA's for applicants to the academic programs as assigned by supervisor.
Scan Station operator for Documentum Document Management System
Greet visitor's to the Registrar's Office, answer incoming phone calls and respond to email inquiries from applicants, students and faculty.
Proof read and review for accuracy data entered into Campus Solutions and DARS via electronic
Data Entry of applicant information, reference letters, transcripts, test scores and other admissions documents into the Campus Solutions student database. This includes but is not limited to, daily verification and processing of applications for admission submitted via multiple online application interfaces.
Communicate daily via email, telephone and in-person sessions with prospective applicants and applicants to UTHealth academic programs.
Scan and process new applicant documentation in Documentum, as needed.
Create and maintain paper filing system for pending applicants. Perform a regular review of these files.
Work at front desk for a minimum of 4½ hours each week, supporting and maintaining all functions performed in that area.
Support the registration area during peak cycles.
Completion of additional duties and tasks as assigned.
High School diploma or equivalent AND three years of general office experience.
Prior experience scheduling and maintaining calendars & travel itineraries.
Prior experience with preparing meeting materials or general reports preferred.
Commensurate with experience
This position works with Houston Independent School District (H.I.S.D.) students.
This position works with minors under the age of 18 years.
This position will be working in a laboratory or clinic
This position will use radiation sources
