As a Solution Architect in Hewlett Packard Enterprise Group IT organization you will be responsible for translating complex sets of business capabilities into technical solutions. This work may include leveraging custom developed software solutions, commercial off the shelf solutions, and or cloud based and SaaS provided solutions. The Solution Architect is responsible for designing IT solutions to meet the needs of the Enterprise Group business teams and associated partners. Critical to this role will be in depth knowledge of Sales Operations, Sales Compensation, Procurement, Order Management Supply Chain, or Quality business processes, systems, and solutions. Coupled with this business knowledge, the Solution Architect must be able to effectively communicate to stakeholders, project team members and senior management. As a part of this role, the Solution Architect will:

Engage with business stakeholders to understand required capabilities, integrating business knowledge with technical solutions Engage with other IT architects and technical staff to determine the most appropriate technical strategy and designs to meet business Demonstrate broad technical leadership, impacting significant technical direction, exerting influence outside of the immediate team and driving change Mentor and guide others in the EGIT IT communities

Responsibilities :

Position IT end to end solutions which best address customer needs. Engages IT and business management and act as trusted advisor Develops technology roadmap and strategy Lead team in architecture activities for complex, medium to large projects Develop technically and operationally feasible long-term Information Technology (IT) strategies and plans Provide review/input on project activities Collaborates with the project manager to develop detailed project plans and work breakdown structures Develop and deliver presentations to business and IT senior management Regularly leads in the technical assessment and delivery of specific technical solutions

Architecture / Solution Design:

Understand the business problem, need, or opportunity and to design an IT solution that completely and correctly addresses the business problem, need, or opportunity without unnecessary enhancements. Lead the architectural design, development, deployment, and technical quality of large enterprise or global solutions that span multiple technologies and disciplines. Provide architectural direction for multiple medium to large sized projects concurrently in various stages of their lifecycle or a large project full time Maintain the integrity of the proposed architecture to assure professional quality and logical consistency in the face of political and business pressures. Understands and applies one or more industry acknowledged architectural modeling methods and tools. Validate/evaluate if an information systems or operational architecture meets business needs Evaluate the effect of external factors on designed solution


Broad IT industry knowledge and in depth expertise in Sales Operations, Sales Compensation, Procurement, Order Management Supply Chain, or Quality Understanding of infrastructure components required to run Data acquisition programs related to the sales, manufacturing, distribution and field service quality areas Has pulse on future technology or operational trends as they relate to and support business directions ("trusted advisor" role). Broad knowledge and application of Open Source technologies and platforms within the enterprise. Broad knowledge of IT and business standards and best practices and how to apply the appropriately in solutions Broad Infrastructure Security knowledge, Risk Management and development of Security Controls Apply program/project management methods and processes to define, plan, cost, resource, track and ensure the accomplishment of targeted goals for large enterprise or global level projects.

Qualifications: Education and Experience :


Technical university or Bachelor preferred or equivalent experience

3 years of experience within IT solution development and design 3 years of experience using one of the following databases query or reporting tools: SSIS, SSRS, Vertica, Hadoop, MapR, MSSQL 3 years in a customer engagement capacity, gathering and documenting stakeholder requirements Direct experience with analytics and data warehousing


Experience in industry standard high tech Data Acquisition processes and solutions in Sales Operations, Sales Compensation, Procurement, Order Management Supply Chain, or Quality. Experience with industry standard Collaboration processes and technologies IBM Varicent or Xactly experience is a strong differentiator
