Jacobs SQS Manager in Houston, Texas
In Houston Supply Management Operations has the overall responsibility for administering the Supplier Quality Surveillance functions described in this procedure.
Responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to:
Provide oversight of all SQS functions within the SQS group.
Provide interface with Supply Management, other Departments and affiliate offices.
Oversee agreements with contract inspection offices.
Attending kick-off meetings with Project Managers and Client representatives to review details of supplier quality surveillance scope.
Attending Interactive Planning Sessions, as necessary.
Ensuring that Supplier Quality Surveillance Inspectors have qualification levels that meet Jacobs and Client requirements.
Maintaining adequate staffing for the execution of projects.
Ensuring that activities are in compliance with Jacobs SOP, work instructions and Project requirements.
Supervision of Supplier Quality Surveillance Supervisors and Supplier Quality Surveillance Inspectors.
Participate in the selection and assignment of Supplier Quality Surveillance Representatives.
Assisting in the resolution of non-conformances.
Assure Jacobs Supplier Quality Surveillance Inspectors and contract inspector skills matrix is current and accurate.
Bachelor's degree required.
Minimum of 15 years’ experience in SQS with a
Minimum of 5 years supervisory or management within this function.
Must be computer literate and have excellent communication skills.
Must have a firm understanding of supply chain management and the role of SQS within the supply chain organization.
