Microsoft Corporation Technology Solutions Specialist in Houston, Texas

The Technology Solutions Professional (TSP) Productivity Online leads the Office 365 technical pre-sales efforts for Microsoft’s Corporate Account Managed Customers in the Gulf Coast District and supports these accounts as they evaluate Microsoft’s Online Services solutions.

This includes utilizing and leading the Office 365 Customer Decision Framework to qualify opportunities, prove the value and technical fit of Office 365, aligning Microsoft Premier Deployment or Partners to support Office 365 deployment, influencing adoption of Microsoft Premier Online, developing customer trust in Microsoft’s cloud services, and partnering with the Corporate Solution Architect team to ensure what is sold can be delivered successfully. This results in strong customer satisfaction, consulting revenue for partners, and product revenue for Microsoft. Corporate Accounts covers both CAM and CTM models, requiring a blend of direct and scaled selling strategies - both with and through partners.

Technology Solutions Professional Responsibilities include:

-Executing superior technical engagements (Technical Briefing, SAW and Migration Due Diligence)

-Acting as a direct liaison to the corporate product groups for technical feedback and changes.

-Orchestrating both partner & Microsoft migration and deployment resources during engagements (deployment planning, AD health, client remediation, etc…).

-Effectively working through Partners to scale reach to customers evangelizing the Office 365/Online Services messaging.

-Engaging in technical discussions within assigned opportunities to both technical and business audiences and being able to translate how Office 365 technology solves business problems.

-Working with the Account Team to identify gaps and compete scenarios within targeted accounts and develop strategies to thwart and/or dislodge the competition (GAPE, Notes, GroupWise, Open Source, and Legacy Exchange).

-Developing and engaging with solutions partners early in the sales cycle to close deals by reinforcing the business value of online solutions and acting as an interface between customers and partners.

The candidate will have demonstrated the following:

-Passion for using technology to solve business challenges across a large customer base

-Relevant Systems Engineering or pre-sales consulting experience selling or supporting productivity or CRM cloud solutions

-Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 including online Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Skype for Business, Office Professional Plus subscription, and Active Directory integration with on premise solutions.

-Strong knowledge of competitive collaboration products & services/tools

-Ability to communicate effectively both written and oral, and develop lasting relationships with senior business or technical leaders with high levels of business acumen & technical expertise.

-Significant experience delivering persuasive technical presentations to both technical and business decision makers.

-Teaming/Collaboration - Demonstrates effective cross-group collaboration skills to achieve results through influence with internal and external stakeholders.

-Knowledgeable in strategic planning, risk analysis and business justification.

Successful candidates will have a BS/BA degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience (MBA Preferred) and 7-10 Years of enterprise software experience.

This position is based in in the Houston, Texas metropolitan area. Some travel is required.
