Sulzer Mixpac USA Inc. is seeking an Outside Sales Account Manager to work from home in the Houston, TX area.

Position Summary:

  • Responsible for conducting business development activities, cultivating customers and opportunities, closing new business and ensuring business objectives/strategies are met

Essential Functions:

  • Develops and maintains favorable relationships with new and existing clients in order to increase revenue.

  • Works with coatings manufacturers to educate, market, and sell MixCoat technology to distributors and end users

  • Cultivates relationships with coatings equipment distributors and paint & Coatings contractors to drive sales efforts for Mixcoat to the market

  • Ensures that products consistently meet client needs.

  • Routinely reports on sales activities

  • Creates sales quotations and sample requests for customers

  • Regularly reviews account strategies and pricing with sales management

  • Schedules and prepares sales visits to customers.

  • Manages travel budget for assigned territory

  • Recommend suggested selling prices, within established guidelines, for the customer

  • Meet with customers on-site, as required, to review business status, current projects and new opportunities

  • Prepare the proposal/quotation to the customer and review and negotiates with the customer.

  • Respond to questions and inquiries from the customer regarding technical issues that arise, and provide related technical support or assistance.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree preferred, but not required with commensurate years of product knowledge and selling experience

  • 5 years experience in selling to protective coatings manufacturers and/or protective coatings equipment or distributors

  • 10 years experinece in business to business sales

  • Intimate knowledge of two-component coatings and application methods (epoxies, polyurethanes, acrylics, siloxanes, polyureas)

  • Established relationships with owners, contractors and protective coating applicators in teh pipleline, offshore and oil/gas markets is preferable.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Analytical capability as required to review, assess and interpret customer requirements and develop new opportunities

  • Communication and interpersonal skills, as required in working effectively with internal and external customers

  • Proficiency in the use of personal computers

  • Great Plains knowledge

  • MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)

  • Microsoft CRM or equivalent knowledge

Travel Requirements:

  • This position will require overnight business travel, including occasional international travel.

  • This position must be physically located in the Houston, TX area
