The employee must be proficient in Lock out Tag out/ energy isolations; able to read and follow one-line diagrams, block diagrams, and panel schedules. Other tasks include trouble shooting electrical power distribution, electric motors, lighting, and assisting in building work packages. The employee is expected to climb and work in high places that may exceed 200 feet in height and also work in confined spaces. The employee must work overtime, nights, and weekends as required by the workload.
A high school diploma, general education development (GED) diploma and three to five years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. The person holding this position must be able to read and interpret operational and electrical service manuals on company equipment, and electrical diagrams and schematics on equipment. Further, the person holding this position must be able to troubleshoot and diagnose failures of equipment using accepted troubleshooting techniques.
