The Chief Technology Office (CTO) function is responsible for strategic and operational management of the technology environment supporting Citi’s Global Consumer Technology (GCB) function. The Digital Tibco Services team works in concert with our global and regional business and IT partners to provide engaging and remarkable internet, mobile and tablet services for our banking customers.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Technical Lead for the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise shared services using Tibco Suite of Products -Tibco Designer, Tibco Business Works(BW), Tibco EMS.

  • Provide leadership in Java development for next generation micro services.

  • Lead the design, development and delivery of large, complex, high volume, and scaleable applications in the banking and financial services domain.

  • Responsible for support of the technology in production on a Tier 3 basis.

  • Work with CTO, Information Security and other supporting organizations to deliver a robust product that meets Citi standards.

  • Professional maturity in dealing with all levels of management and staff.


  • 10+ years of experience in development of complex software systems participating in all Phases of SDLC.

  • Expert level experience with Tibco Suite of products, including Tibco Designer, Tibco Business Works(BW), Tibco EMS.

  • Well versed in Java/J2EE development. Experience in Spring boot, spring cloud services and frameworks, and cloud technologies like Cloud Foundry a plus.

  • Agile development experience with multiple agile projects a plus.

  • Experience guiding, mentoring, and motivating medium to large size teams in time sensitive and complex projects

  • Willingness and ability to be hands on when needed with passion for quality software development

  • Excellent communication skills, and ability to present and sell concepts

  • Strong trouble-shooting skills and ability to take action to resolve technical and business issues in a timely manner

  • Experience in a software product development adhering to product roadmaps and executing common product based solutions to multiple clients.

  • Ability to balance multiple demands and work both independently and as part of a team to develop solutions

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a computer related field
