BP&A Sr. Manager

  • Manages one or more BP&A teams.

  • Implements solutions for reporting issues with broad business impact. Ad-hoc analytics, report writing, and data pulls as needed.

  • Handles occasionally complex and variable issues with significant departmental impact. Shares responsibility for budget, policy formulation and planning.

  • Maintains appropriate staffing requirements to meet operational needs. Manages all training and developmental needs for assigned personnel. Evaluates subordinates' performance and determine pay increases, promotions, terminations, etc. Evaluates subordinates' performance and makes recommendations for pay increases, hiring, terminations and other personnel actions. Use data analytics to identify opportunities in Transaction Services.

  • Applies in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the entire function; and, requires basic commercial awareness.

  • Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of how own area collectively integrates to contribute to achieving overall business goals; requires basic industry knowledge.

  • Provides evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual information in complicated and unique situations.

  • Directs area supported through responsibility for delivery of end results and shared responsibility for budget management; accountable for resource planning.

  • Utilizes developed communication and diplomacy skills to persuade and influence others; may negotiate with external parties.

  • Interface with Ops and business partners to build strong relationships and push for identification of opportunities. Present findings and support to senior management. Work collaboratively with business partners to solve business problems and questions utilizing data and analytical methods

  • Ability to design and execute processes to feed command center analytical dashboard with timely information

  • Ad-hoc analytics, report writing, data pulls as needed

  • Supports multiple lines of business across the Global Consumer Bank and multiple functions in Transaction Services.

Minimum Education

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent combination of education/experience


  • Candidate must demonstrate ability to solve complex business problems through comprehensive data analysis and/or process re-engineering and concisely present and defend recommended business solution

  • Ability to communicate effectively in non-technical terms at all levels of the organization.

  • Must be able to organize and prioritize multiple assignments to meet tight deadlines.

  • Data analytics/business analytics experience required

  • SAS and/or SQL experience desirable

  • Proficiencies in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project)

  • Proficiency with Mainframe and Unix helpful, but not required.

  • Prior management or leadership experience.

  • The ability to work within a geographically dispersed team environment and positively affect the team dynamics.
