Comprehensive Capital Analysis Review (CCAR) is a quarterly US Federal Reserve regulatory submission. It is used to ensure that institutions have robust, forward-looking capital planning processes that account for their unique risks and sufficient capital to continue operations throughout times of economic and financial stress. As part of CCAR, the Federal Reserve evaluates institutions' capital adequacy, internal capital adequacy assessment processes, and their plans to make capital distributions.
The Wholesale Credit workstream contributes to the overall management and execution of stress testing for Wholesale Credit supporting Citigroup’s CCAR submission and Citibank’s Dodd Frank Act Stress Testing (“DFAST”) submission. The Wholesale Credit Senior Production Manager is primarily responsible execution of key credit risk management related projects associated with the annual CCAR/DFAST submissions including reviewing and challenging assumptions and outputs generated by the Wholesale Credit businesses across the firm . The Wholesale Credit Production Manager reports to the Wholesale Credit Project Oversight & Execution Manager.
This position requires high interface with Regional and Business risk teams, CCAR Senior Product Specialists, Finance Risk Infrastructure, and Operations & Technology.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following
Execution of project plans for both the Annual (CCAR/DFAST) Submission and the Spring (Mid-Cycle Stress Test) Submission.
Review and dissect loss forecasts and their drivers.
Analyze the impact of changes in macroeconomic indicators on portfolio/business performance.
Understand the inner workings of Citi’s architecture including data, processes, systems / infrastructure and technology.
Review with Business and Risk Management of model outputs, management overlays, adjustments, and implications; ensure overlay documentation requirements are properly followed.
Coordinating feedback mechanisms between Business and Risk Management and model developers on content development.
Contribute to the production of the Annual CCAR Submission Document, incorporating portfolio narratives, methodology overview, and review of results and analysis.
Identify any errors in data submission process, working with region Risk team to correct submission errors.
Comprehensive understanding of industry best practice and regulatory expectations on model development. Fully understand SR11-7, and abreast with the latest CCAR guidelines and expectations.
Participate on Workstream portfolio deep dives, evaluating product structures and value propositions, credit risks, operational issues, governance and controls.
Synthesize learnings to ensure they are integrated into the CCAR process and documentation.
Coordinate broad governance initiatives including ensuring compliance with model risk management lifecycle and separation of proposer and challenger responsibilities.
Formally track any MRA’s or regulatory feedback, oversee individual businesses addressing business specific matters.
Design, review and approve Overlay Documentation requirements.
Provide coaching and mentoring to Production Managers and other partners in the CCAR process.
Familiarity with CCAR clearly a plus, but if not, sufficient expertise in managing a similar stress testing regime or proven ability to quickly come up to speed in managing a complex financial reporting process of comparable complexity to CCAR/DFAST.
Understanding of core risk and/or finance areas is a plus (e.g., pre-provision net revenue, credit risk, Basel II and Basel III, VaR, economic capital, stress testing, etc.)
Extensive understanding of wholesale credit products including structures, industry mechanics, risks, and analytical tools is required.
7+ years of experience with wholesale credit in either a lending, credit risk management, or loss forecasting/modelling role.
Exceptional oral communication and writing skills, with ability to synthesize complex concepts, translate into "user-friendly" language, and effectively present in text or slide format.
Proven ability to interact credibly with stakeholders in other control functions such as finance, audit, legal and compliance, as well as senior leaders across a large firm.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and communicate root causes and trends.
Ability to quickly assimilate and analyse large amounts of information.
Strong time management skills with the ability to successfully handle competing priorities.

BA/BSc or higher in business, finance, or a related field
MBA/Master’s degree preferred
