The compliance officer will provide project management expertise to the pre-closure testing (PCT) team to assist in managing AML project reviews including resource planning, review status updates, testing documentation and coordination with other partners and stakeholders. This role reports into the Global AML Pre-Closure Compliance Testing Director and engages with the global pre-closure testing team, GAML PMO, project teams and regional AML Testing Leads and other stakeholders involved in the AML projects for which pre-closure testing is being conducted.
Manage and monitor the execution progress/completion of the AML Pre-Closure Testing reviews, from new project intake, resource estimates, review timelines, testing progress, resource assignments, global CT reporting and issue tracking.
Prepare professional presentations to be used in various AML governance forums to communicate current status of pre-closure testing reviews as well as planning status for upcoming project reviews to senior management.
Assisting in planning, monitoring and liaising with the GAML PMO, project owners, Businesses, regional / product AML/ABC/OFAC (AML) Compliance, Internal Audit and Compliance Testing in support of global pre-closure testing program activities.
The project manager will be charged with providing and contributing to the appropriate infrastructure to support Compliance Testing activities, such as the annual test plan, reporting, maintenance of SharePoint and shared drive sites used to store testing work papers and documentation. In addition, they will support ongoing activities of the department such as budgets, organizational charts, job requisitions and contracting with co-sourcing firms.
Supports the global pre-closure testing program with attention to detail while managing to critical deadlines.
Participating in AML project meetings related to current and/or upcoming pre-closure testing.
Supporting regulatory, audit or third party activities related to AML pre-closure Testing.
Bachelor's Degree required and 5+ years relevant work experience.
Experienced project manager with a solid understanding of compliance, Anti-Money laundering regulations and their application to financial services businesses.
Possesses strong problem solving skills, has the ability to work independently or in a team environment, who works well under minimal supervision to perform job duties.
Strong project management skills to include tracking progress of pre-closure testing reviews, coordination of activities and information across partners and stakeholders, deliverables and dependencies, communication and escalation of issues.
Knowledge of the financial services industry and ability to work with geographically dispersed teams.
Strong team player with demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with peers and business leaders at all levels.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to track multiple complex projects and deliverables concurrently.
Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization.
Strong ability to manage competing priorities to meet deadlines
Self-starter who is organized and has the ability to work independently, with minimal supervision
Experience in dealing with cross-border and international business strategic direction and standards for Consumer-focused banking, lending, investments and insurance products globally.
