Verizon Customer Security Assurance Manager in Irving, Texas
The CISO Cyber Assurance Team is responsible for providing assurance to enterprise and government customers that Verizon has the proper programs and processes in place to secure customer data. The Cyber Assurance Program Manager role will be responsible for driving business partnership with Verizon teams such as Legal, Sourcing, Client Accounts, Sales, and other Security organizations. The role will be responsible for educating, influencing, and driving alignment to security policies and programs to ensure Verizon is meeting the needs of our customers. Additionally, the role will provide strategic direction to inject strong cyber security practices into future business projects and processes.
Design, develop, and implement a process, framework, and workflow for Customer Information Security Engagement – the cornerstone of a repeatable Cyber Assurance business partnership and process.
This role is responsible for developing strategic partnerships with other business units, influencing the implementation of security practices into their processes and procedures.
This role would serve as the primary Cyber Assurance Security Liaison/SME to client account teams, serving as the main program management and subject matter expert, providing counsel and guidance on security concerns, requests, responses to customers, and other communications.
This role would develop a process for the creation of security documentation and standards, as well as the analysis of existing gaps in documentation.
The role would design and implement solutions to address gaps in customer requirements and partner with stakeholders to modify and drive continuous improvement.
This role is responsible for the management of education and awareness of Verizon security practices to customers. The role would be responsible for creating and executing on a personalized comprehensive communications plan with information about risk(s) to the business/customers.
This role will create a Cyber Assurance metric and quality program guide that can be enhanced and implemented across multiple business units, projects, and customers. These metrics will allow the organization to demonstrate the volume, value, and business impact(s)/trends of customer assurance activities.
This role will be responsible for creating presentations and delivering the key messages to senior leadership teams, business partners, and customers .
6+ years security, risk/threat analysis and evaluation, control mitigation and gap remediation experience.
Preferred security certifications (one of): CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC
Experience in legal contractual language.
Experience with ISO 27001-2, NIST 800-53, or other controls standards.
Ability to communicate well in both verbal and written forms.
Proven leadership ability and strong negotiation skills.
Ability to prioritize work and demonstrate well developed organization skills.
