Job Description

Allstate Insurance Company has an exceptional career opportunity for Commercial Liability Auto Adjuster in Irving, TX.

The Commercial Liability Auto Adjuster is responsible for investigations into single- and multi-car auto accidents of up to a moderately complex nature in which commercial policy holders are involved to determine auto liability. The individual is responsible for maintaining a good working relationship with the commercial policy holders while establishing credibility for the company through the quality of work and thoroughness of the investigations. The individual is responsible for setting customer expectations, communicating timelines for investigation and explaining applicable laws and coverages. The individual takes recorded statements, resolves loss of use claims, makes payments to appropriate parties, and negotiates and settles or refers bodily injury issues if settlement is not possible. The individual also provides general work guidance to processors and less experienced employees and may serve as a committee team leader on special projects

  • Key Responsibilities*

  • Customer Service*

-Makes and maintains a connection with the customer by understanding and meeting their needs; serves the customer with empathy; and follows up to ensure that customer needs have been met

-Researches and responds to moderately complex customer communications, concerns, conflicts or issues

  • File Documentation and Reporting*

-Summarizes documents and enters into claim system notes

-Documents a claim file with notes, evaluations and decision making process

  • Coverage, Liability and Evaluation*

-Determines applicable coverage limits in moderately complex commercial policy claims involving single or multiple claimants

-Conducts investigations into moderately complex auto accidents in which commercial policy holders are involved to obtain additional claim and coverage information and determine liability

  • Negotiation and Settlement Guidance*

-Negotiates and Settles claims in accordance with business unit best practices

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree,/ preferred/

  • At least 2 year of delivering outstanding customer service, /insurance auto liability experience is highly preferred/

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong organizational and computer skills

  • Effectively interact with internal or external customers and act with empathy

  • Knowledge of insurance policy, coverage, and regulation

  • Knowledge of claim processes, policies, procedures, claim systems, coverage, liability, damage estimating, and/or settlement, and adherence to applicable legal compliance standards

  • Negotiation and/or arbitration skills

  • Maintains all appropriate licenses and registrations for the role per state requirements
