The Interior Designer is responsible for managing and facilitating the design process for acquisitions, renovations, and special
Manage the specification and production of assigned interior finishes, including all interior carpets, furnishings,
fabrics, wall coverings, draperies, artwork, accessories, etc.
Oversee project management for all assigned acquisitions, renovations, work requests, and special projects; Includes,
but is not limited to, compiling working and final budgets, transportation documents, site reports, purchase orders
and quarterly chargeback program
Develop new architectural branding concepts to establish all decorative elements, such as furniture, materials,
lighting and accessories
Research the market for additional vendors to source new and existing interior design products
Identify opportunities for cost reduction, production capability improvement, and improved vendor compliance
All other duties as assigned
IDEAL KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND EXPERIENCE:
4-year college degree in interior design, architecture, decorative arts, or similar field
3+ years’ professional design work experience, especially in high-end residential or retail environments
Extensive portfolio/address book for suppliers, vendors, and traders
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Photoshop, Illustrator, AutoCAD; Ability to hand sketch
Knowledge of units and measure to communicate site-specific requirements/dimensions
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to travel as required (approximately 50%)
