Job Purpose: Consults with client companies for improving performance of employees who have a variety of psychological and personal issues. Makes referrals to network providers for assessment and recommendations and follows up with affected parties to determine if changes are needed.
Facilitates and authorizes response to catastrophic and traumatic events to minimize the negative impact on absenteeism and productivity.
Consults with client company management representatives, including executives, human resources, supervisors, managers, and medical departments on how to optimize work performance of employees who may have a variety of psychological and personal issues, such as chemical dependency, psychosis, grief, depression, suicide, personality disorders, work place threats, disasters, etc. Consultation may be performed in a call center environment answering calls in a queue or on-site with the client company.
Coordinates Fitness of Duty requests with client companies.
Coordinates, authorizes and supervises job performance referrals (JPR) to network providers for assessment and recommendations when issues interfere with workplace performance. Follows-up, further advises, and gives feedback to providers and management. Initiates, maintains, completes and accurately follows-up on all computer records generated on client company management s behalf.
Strategize with and coach management on how to appropriately intervene with dysfunctional work groups and/or systems to bring full functioning as an effective work organization.
Meets with key account personnel to sustain and maintain business relationships and customizes services to reflect the needs and culture of the company. Assist in identifying services that might be appropriate for up sell and/or Fee-For-Service opportunities.
Provides ongoing follow-up with provider, treatment centers and management on chemical dependency cases for one year to determine if employee is compliant and case is appropriately managed and to recommend changes as appropriate. Follows-up with employee on certain chemical dependency cases to insure employee is compliant with contract.
Provides guidance to customers on client company work place policies on a variety of subjects (including, but not limited to, work place violence, chemical dependency) and recommends changes to optimize policies.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience: Master s Degree. Two years Employee relations and/or management background. Two years Experience in EAP field. Working knowledge of chemical dependency.
License/Certification: Must have and maintain current, valid and unrestricted Clinical licensure (LMFT, LCSW, psychologist).
