The USP Operations & Analytics team empowers McKesson with data to drive fact-based decision making. We collaborate with teams across the company on a wide variety of projects and operational support. In this role you will partner with our distribution operations to provide operations optimization analytics solutions, delivering on the fly access to information that drives the business. You will interface with all levels of our operation management team to gather requirements, data from multiple sources, and build/maintain analytics solutions. You will perform research and actively engage leaders on how to improve the quality and timeliness of our deliveries as well as increase efficiency within our distribution centers.
-Analyze past/present demand and forecasts to create intuitive management analytics tools that monitor overall productivity, efficiency, and reduce operating costs. Work with operations management to establish KPIs to monitor current staffing and drilldowns to identify cost reduction areas.
-Collaborate with distribution operations leadership and provide recommendations and insight on staffing strategies, route optimization and expected increases or decreases in customer demand that may impact resource scheduling.
-Participate in and influence discussions around reporting requirements, visualization, and data design.
-Actively engage distribution operations and promote analytics tools. Track end user usage metrics, facilitate training sessions, and support as a subject-matter expert of the workforce management analytics suite.
8 experience in analytics or related field
5 years of Business Intelligence experience
Must have significant data mining, analysis, and reporting experience, and some experience with IT project management
Working and development knowledge of data visualization tools such as SSRS, Tableau and QlikView
Expert knowledge of enterprise database tools and ecosystems
Work with source systems, ETL tools and SQL processes to understand/build/debug the sources of visualization data
Strong SQL skills, with detailed experience in Netezza, SQLServer or other SQL databases
Additional Knowledge & Skills
- Prefer candidate with distribution and supply chain management experience
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects while meeting deadlines and documenting progress towards those deadlines
Expert requirements gathering skills
Proven experience solving complex business issues through data-related tools
Strong strategic thinking, prioritization, and problem solving skills in ambiguous and changing environments
