Project Manger (PMO) Someone who has worked with a PMO Start- up would be ideal, building PMO from ground up** IT Project Management Office (PMO) The vision of the IT PMO is to support a consistent, enterprise-wide approach to project management in order to maximize the efficiency and predictability of project delivery and ensure alignment with company strategy and organizational goals The mission of the IT PMO is to partner with IT teams and business departments to facilitate governance of IT projects and provide project management standards, repeatable processes, and tools. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Effectively define and maintain PMO standards and processes for project governance, demand management, resource management, financial management, scope management, risk and issue management, task and schedule management, and dependency management. 2. Develop high-quality training materials and conduct training on PMO processes. 3. Work with project managers to ensure compliance with PMO processes. 4. Produce PMO reports including comprehensive project portfolio reports and dashboards to gauge performance to metrics and KPIs. 5. Maintain data in the project repository as needed to keep it up to date and accurate. 6. Support pre-project due diligence including business case development (as needed). 7. Provide project management support to projects (as needed). 8. Perform other responsibilities as assigned. TYPICAL PROFILE Education and Experience: 1. Bachelor's degree in science or business, or related field or an equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience. 2. Active and accredited project management certification favorable. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred. 3. Minimum of three years of work experience in areas of project management, with one or more of those years working in a PMO accountable for a large number of concurrent projects (50+). Skills and Competencies: 1. Strong working knowledge of PMO processes, particularly resource and financial management. 2. Experienced user of project management tools. 3. Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously without compromising quality. 4. Ability to deliver results and maintain composure and professionalism despite organizational noise. 5. Ability to establish solid working relationships and partnerships with teams across the organization. 6. Ability to work independently and proactively drive all assignments to completion on time. 7. Must have exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills, strong analytical skills, and pay specific attention to details. 8. Refined written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to swiftly shift approach based on audience. Ability to maintain confidentiality of extremely sensitive data at all times.
