Citi Retail Services is one of the world's leading providers of private label credit cards. The Digital Marketing and Channels (DMC) team within Citi Retail Services is responsible for the strategic and day-to-day management of digital initiatives that leverage digital (Internet website and mobile) capabilities to accelerate and /or more efficiently deliver on business goals in support of 20+ retailer partnerships.
This role will report into the Digital Product Optimization Manager under the Digital Product Solutions team within the DMC organization. This position will be responsible for the creation and management of projects within the servicing, acquisitions and commercial web and mobile spaces. The incumbent will need to be able to coordinate multiple projects with strict deadlines in a highly matrixed organization. As such, this person will need superior product and project management and communication capabilities, along with the ability to think creatively about the consumer experience and its impact on our retail partners’ customers.
Defining digital product and platform enhancements and developing supporting business cases. Collaborates with DMC management and peers to prioritize product / platform concepts for detailed scope development and delivery.
Product execution throughout the product development lifecycle including: authoring and prioritizing project initiation requests, partnering with cross functional teams to define and deliver project scope requirements, and working closely with Delivery and Digital Marketing to ensure partner and business goals are achieved.
Serving as DMC’s key digital stakeholder for approved product / platform enhancement projects and new partner on-boarding initiatives.
Collaborating with DMC’s digital governance function to ensure that product / platform enhancements are delivered with proper controls, and adhere to corporate / business practices and policies to ensure that all potential operational and reputational risks have been identified and addressed.
Participating in the analysis of existing digital product / platform utilities and defining needed enhancements associated with these products / utilities.
Assisting with the analysis of product / platform issues and direct corrective actions.
Serving as a liaison between DMC, business teams and technology teams.
Assisting DMC management with the development and presentation of digitally focused materials to Retail Services’ business development, partner management, marketing and operations organization
Key Collaboration Points
Collaborating with operations, technology groups, creative agencies, delivery, legal and compliance to define and deliver product / platform enhancements, share learnings and identify/resolve issues.
Directly influencing technology, legal, business, and digital delivery teams in an extremely matrixed organization to guarantee the highest quality of the end product being delivered to market.
Actively participating in digital workstream groups and collaborating with DMC management, digital product business analysts, IT business analysts, business project managers, partner management and other project and technology delivery participants.
Business and Technical Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Marketing, Advertising, Information Technology or related field.
At least 3-5 years of Project and/or Product Management experience within financial, retail or technology industries.
Experience with and a detailed understanding of website and mobile platforms (digital products), especially in the area of online self-service, acquisitions and advertising
In-depth understanding of software development life cycle utilizing both waterfall and agile delivery methodologies.
Strong technical and business acumen is desired along with the ability to effectively communicate with business and technical management and peers.
Must be detail-oriented with excellent organization and time management skills.
Strong execution / project management skills, with the appropriate attention to detail.
Excellent written (including presentation) and verbal communication skills.
