Robert Half Management Resources Senior Accountant - CPA in irving, Texas
Senior Accountant needed on a contract basis to assist with Loyalty/Rewards Programs. This is a 6-12 month contract position. Responsibilities:
Develop and document a keen understanding of various complex business transactions and the corresponding accounting implications related to a Loyalty program.
Maintain library of agreements including written summaries of the appropriate accounting principles that should be applied and confirm appropriate review and approval has occurred before agreements are processed.
Track activity related to contracts.
Discuss recommendations with accounting management, especially relevant to changes which will improve the accuracy and / or efficiency of existing processes.
Prepare bi-weekly and monthly funding summaries to understand actual funding trends by category and brand versus expected levels.
Work closely with Financial Reporting and Accounting to share information and provide data for entries.
Aid in setting up day to day functionality of the rewards program as it relates to markdowns and redemptions.
Collaborate with Communications Team to ensure proper notification is provided regarding activity. Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors/4 Year Degree, CPA or active CPA candidate
Experience: 3+ years of Accounting, Financial Analysis, Financial Reporting
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required to understand and appropriately respond to a variety of business process issues.
Strong written and oral communication skills are required to prepare process documentation, summarize recommendations for review by various levels of accounting management.
Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
