The Applications Development Technical Specialist position will be a hands-on role within the Citi Retail Services Desktop Systems team centered in Sioux Falls, SD. This person will join a highly dynamic team to build, integrate, and provide on-going support for time-sensitive projects involving the Citi Retail Services Customer Service Desktop (Retail Private Label Integrated Desktop). The successful candidate will be involved in design decisions, a proponent of best practices, highly engaged with partners/the business and other technical teams, and lead/participate in complex coding challenges. The ideal candidate should have distributed environment (Microsoft .Net), browser-based application development experience including a Card processing background.
Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience;
5+ years of application development or project or systems management in a technology environment with progressively more scope and/or responsibility;
3+ years experience in the credit card industry;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Hands-On Technical experience in HTML5, Spring Framework, Java, Java Script with Angular JS, Visual Studio.Net (C# and VB), XML and XSLT, Oracle.
Experience with the Windows Server 2008 and Windows 7 environment
Strong initiative and passion in learning new functionality, and the ability to work both individually and part of large teams
Working knowledge of MS Office desktop tools (Visio, MS Project, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel) as well as Rational Team Concern (RTC) and Quality Center for defect tracking
Background with capacity management and scheduling; Planview and OPPM tool knowledge a plus
Ability to collaborate with technology and business in ambiguous situations, meeting or exceeding customer and partner expectations.
The ideal candidate will have experience in supporting contact center-based applications/processes and development/support for different external partners and other LOBs.
Experience working with offshore consultants and will have had success in increasing and improving their turn-around times and upgrading skill levels.
