Position *Description*

Reporting to the Director of Reporting and Data Management, this position is responsible for driving improvement in business capabilities and results through the development of best in class data management and reporting solutions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform data extraction, aggregation, and qualitcy checking from multiple data sources
  • Develop data structures to support the reporting and analytics development
  • Perform regular data mining and data analysis activities
  • Interface with various stakeholders within asset performance, credit risk, finance, and strategy and analytics organizations to provide timely and accurate information as needed
  • Effectively partner with internal technology teams to optimize data architecture and data utilization
  • Partner with Reporting, Strategy, and Forecase teams to develop data requirements
  • Utiliza programming and analytical tools including SAS, SQL, or similar relational database tools, and Unix
  • Perform special projects and other duties as assigned\



  • Bachelor degree
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of data mining and analytical techniques
  • Minimum 3 years of practical experience working with large datasets with SAS and/or SQL knowledge
  • Candidate should possess outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in extracting, loading, cleansing & manipulating data in a SAS environment
  • Quick learner and has demonstrated ability to initiate, develop and execute small to medium scale projects
  • Candidate must have strong attention to detail
  • Work well within a team of analysts and collaborate with individuals with technical and non-technical backgrounds


  • Master's degree in technology or data discipline (IT, MIS, Finance, Research, etc.)
  • Knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects, Cognos, etc.)
  • Experience and knowledge of consumer financing industry (e.g. auto, card, mortgage etc.)
  • Expert knowledge in developing analysis queries and procedures in SQL, SAS, BI tools or other analysis software
