The Vice President, Patient Access position will be responsible for all people, processes and technology relating to Patient Access for Hospital BPM clients. The position will also have responsibility for CRCM client performance metrics, and for the overall P&L performance of their service line, including sales growth of modular business. The position will have approximately 3 Regional Director Level Leaders, 30 Managers/Supervisors and 300+ staff members at inception.

Essential Job Functions

  • Review & own all processes to schedule, register and financially clear patients and to ensure eligibility processes are in place.

  • Manage processes and staff to ensure client and internal KPIs are met.

  • Own technology selection to execute processes.

  • Serve as industry Patient Access expert by participating in the development of presentations, white papers, etc.

  • Manage to budgeted revenue and cost targets, including sales growth.

  • Extensive Patient Access process & technology knowledge.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor internal and client KPIs and develop plans to ensure the achievement of those targets.

  • Continual improvement of process flows to lower cost and improve outcomes.

  • Meeting with clients and client managers to explain performance and Patient Access operations.

  • Develop and manage to budgets.

  • Collaborate with sales and help to close sales to drive revenue growth and scale.

Education /Qualifications /Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree, MBA Preferred.

  • 7+ years of Regional Patient Access leadership experience, managing operations of 250+ employees across multiple sites.

  • Extensive knowledge of scheduling and registration technology.

  • Multi-hospital experience, prefer vendor experience managing multiple clients.

Physical and Mental requirements:

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment to coordinate work.

  • Usually remains stationary for the majority of the day.

  • Frequently travels by airplane, train or car as necessary to perform work at another location.

  • Frequently communicates with clients and coworkers and must be able to share information effectively.

  • Occasional stooping, reaching or kneeling may be necessary to reach into overhead or low cabinets.

  • Regularly uses close visual acuity and operates computer equipment to prepare and analyze and transmit data.

  • Generally works in an office environment.
