Gander Mountain Operations Specialist in Lewisville(Dallas), Texas

At Gander Mountain, the Operations Specialist is responsible for overseeing and maintaining/facilitating the Human Resources and Operations support functions within the store. Responsibilities will vary by store sales volume but may include performing administrative duties as it relates to cash handling and other company assets, maintaining BATF & Firearms sales records and assisting the store in monthly inventories, compliance requirements and audits. Other essential job responsibilities include but are not limited to keeping supplies and essentials ordered and within budget, maintaining the associate records as well as background and drug screens, new hire paperwork, orientation and training sessions.

  • Driving Sales: Educate, inform and share knowledge with customers and other associates.

  • Job Knowledge: Remain up-to-date and demonstrate working knowledge of the job - effectively utilizes internal processes, systems and technology and participates in training relevant to position.

  • Maintain confidentially in sensitive matters and information.

  • Maintain all paperwork and procedures for hiring, BATF, Cash office and payroll.

  • Assist in auditing for areas of compliance.

  • Adaptability/Flexibility: Demonstrate willingness to perform work outside assigned area adopting a whole store attitude, grasp instruction, learn quickly adapting to change and increase efforts when necessary to complete assignments.

Non-Essential Functions:

  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Education/Years of Service:

  • High school diploma or GED required; 1+ years work experience required and 2+ year's retail experience preferred.

Other Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to deliver unparalleled customer service.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to interact positively with associates, Vendors, Base Camp and the management team as well as handling sensitive information in confidence.

  • Strong computer skills with the ability to effectively maneuver in a Windows environment and through Microsoft Office products.

  • Possess a positive, can-do attitude.

  • Ability to communicate, both verbally and written, clearly and concisely in English is required.

  • Must be at least 17 years of age
