Description/Job Summary

Position Title:

VP Lending


Lockhart Credit Office

Summary of Desired/Required Experience:

  • Five or more years of progressively responsible banking and related lending experience.

  • Good standing in current and/or previous employment

  • Strong work ethic that supports a willingness to handle multiple tasks with efficiency and accuracy.

  • Requires registration as a Mortgage Loan Officer according to the National Mortgage Licensing System

  • Lending experience in the current regulatory environment preferred

Job Functions:

  • Responsible for developing new business and establishing business relationships with eligible customers, in addition to servicing existing, commercial and real estate customers.

  • Manages credit office staff.

  • Represents the association at local community activities.

  • Makes and services loans and leases within delegated authority

  • Responsible for exercising credit risk management responsibilities

  • Ensures that all assigned loans are properly risk rated. Complies with proper credit administration practices as outlined in the association s policies and procedures.

  • Processes and services loans of varying size and complexity. Conducts and/or coordinates credit analyses including those that involve multi-entity transactions with accrual accounting systems.

  • Analyzes balance sheets, income statements, and cash flows of potential borrowers to ascertain creditworthiness.

  • Performs loan servicing responsibilities and assists with monitoring and reporting portfolio conditions such as additional advances, extensions and conversions

  • Assists in training less- senior loan officers and credit personnel to ensure quality loan services and attainment of the Association s credit goals.

  • Performs collections on assigned loans and assists management with collections on all loans in the portfolio.

Education Requirement:

  • Bachelor s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Ag Economics, Ag Business or related field

Other Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Basic to moderate skill set in Microsoft Office Applications.

  • General knowledge of accounting and financial systems.

  • Ability to perform intermediate level accounting and financial analysis under limited supervision

Salary Range:

  • Commensurate with Experience
