Position Description Performs supervisory and coordinative work in the operation of a specific program or departmental project. Responsibilities involve the coordination and supervision of the various functions and aspects of a specific program as well as the monitoring of program staff and operational procedures. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on results obtained. May supervise program staff, volunteers and student assistants.

Major/Essential Functions

This position will be responsible for the following:

  • Provide administrative support to TTU K12 Superintendent and Principals.

  • Use computers for various applications, such as: TTU K-12 Student Information System (SIS) and Learning Management System (LMS), database management, and word processing.

  • Utilize the various internal systems to create and maintain effective and efficient processes that ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Develop measurable goals that validate the effectiveness of the internal processes.

  • Schedule meetings with TTU K-12 teachers and employees.

  • Work closely with the TTU K-12 International staff to develop and maintain highly functional working environments.

  • Maintain and evaluate enrollment processes.

  • Communicate with school representatives through TTU K-12 internal tracking service. Build working relationships with partners, teachers, parents and students.

  • Create, maintain, and enter information into databases; File documents with student sensitive information; Operate office equipment, such as fax machines, copiers, or phone systems; Maintain scheduling and event calendars; Complete forms in accordance with TTU K-12 procedures.

Qualified applicants for this position will be subject to a pre-employment Texas Tech University background check, and in addition, a Texas Education Agency (TEA) criminal background check and fingerprinting as required by the Texas Legislature for independent school districts.

Occasional Duties All other duties assigned by supervisor.

Required Qualifications High school graduation plus five (5) years progressively responsible related experience; additional related education may exchange for required experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Excel software.

  • The ability to build and adjust spreadsheet documents.
