Texas Tech University ELPN Community Reporter in Lubbock, Texas
Performs specialized work in conducting original research. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on accomplishment of assigned objectives and overall effectiveness of project. May supervise research and student assistants.
Attend community events and report outcomes. Stay in communication with TTU, College of Education and LISD marketing departments to stay abreast and in compliance with all logo and branding issues. Maintain effective communications with external media outlets in order to relay program information on a regular basis. Maintain all social media accounts for ELPN. Attend regular program meetings to stay abreast of all programs being delivered with in the ELPN grant as a whole. Plan, content and write copy for publications including brochures, leaflets, reports, newsletters and informational flyers. Work closely with technical support for the maintenance of the ELPN website. Prepare presentations, videos or handouts for program related meetings. Ability to measure the public's opinions and attitudes as it pertains to the ELPN programs.
Bachelor's degree in marketing/communications/journalism or related field. Knowledge of modern research practices, the methods, resources, and standards thereof.
