Texas Tech University FFE Manager in Lubbock, Texas

Position Description

Manages a sub unit within a department. Plans, organizes and develops goals and procedures. Represents the sub unit to administrators, outside agencies and others on relevant matters. Supervises subordinate staff.

Major/Essential Functions

Analyzes the functional requirements of building FF&E; needs in support of the projects respective Project Manager and design team partner.

Ability to work through complex building plans and understanding the quality and quantity of FF&E; for the successful function of building users.

Ensure all FF&E; supports the project intent and meets or exceeds the TTUS standards for performance and durability.

Coordination or documentation of FF&E; information into the e-Builder platform.

Provide FF&E; installation oversight duties including on-site inspections during deliveries of all furnishings. Ensure all FF&E; materials and finishes are as specified.

Work with the design professional to consult with the users to determine the functional requirements of the FF&E; to meet the requirements of the building and users.

Collaborate and coordinate with the design team from project inception to completion of the project.

Manage project FF&E; budget within overall project budget.

Review and approve all submittals relating to FF&E; solutions.

Work with the FP&C; administration to keep design standards up to date.

Coordinate proper warranty and long term management information for building users.

Support the service plus philosophy and mission of TTUS.

Work with FP&C; administrative assistants to have purchase orders processed in a timely and efficient manner so all materials are ordered for a timely delivery of all FF&E.;

Minimize scope changes by attending planning meetings that relate to FF&E; for the project ensuring that all of the needs are met within the TTUS and component standards.

Work with vendors to acquire and install FF&E; as scheduled in the plans. Verify all materials are received in good condition and verify the invoices are correct.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with two years supervisory experience; OR a combination of education and/or supervisory experience to equal six years.

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to learn the TTUS rules and building standards as it relates to FF&E; management.
