Texas Tech University Office Assistant in Lubbock, Texas
Performs routine and moderately difficult clerical duties of a specialized nature, which may be performed in a variety of University settings. Responsibilities may include basic bookkeeping, data coding, filing, sorting, posting, verifying, recording, typing, and word processing. Work is performed under close supervision within established policies and procedures with job performance based upon tasks completed.
Performs data entry of medical services for physician billing. Reviews and processes charge capture reports. Reviews and processes insurance information.
Proficiency in written and mathematical processes as may be reflected by the completion of high school or the equivalent.
Experience in medical office billing and insurances preferred. Must be detailed oriented and able to problem solve within guidelines independently.
