Klein Tools Field Specialist (Mansfield) in Mansfield, Texas

We are currently recruiting for a Field Specialist to be located in our Mansfield, TX facility.


The Field Specialist is the primary link between Klein Tools and the local trade schools and training programs, current construction work-sites, job foreman's and active tradesmen. The Field Specialist gains access to workers for on-the-job testing of new and existing products for the purpose of reporting back to Klein Tools product performance against stated criteria or research objectives. The Field Specialist coordinates monthly focus group sessions by enlisting participants from respective trade groups matching the products being evaluated or concepts being tested (Electrical, HVAC, Data Comm etc.). The Field Specialist arranges job-site visits that allow Klein Tools engineers, designers, product managers and other interested groups to observe working behavior and performance of new and existing tools under evaluation. The Field Specialist provides knowledge, insight and feedback based on a career in the trades and understanding of tool usage and applications. Other responsibilities will include:

  1. Establish relationships with trade groups, trade schools and significant construction projects underway.

  2. Place new and existing products in the field for performance testing and evaluation. Maintain detailed reporting of test product location, situation, timing and final test results.

  3. Recruit and organize internal focus group participants. Build and maintain a database of participants ensuring proper rotation of participants monthly.

  4. Organize and establish field visits and job-site observation opportunities Klein Tools product management, engineering, design an other interested groups.

  5. Establish detailed feedback and product testing reports and maintaining clear and concise records of field tests, focus group activity and product evaluations.


A Master Electrician or Journeyman certification and 20 years of experience is required. Candidates must be in good standing with local union and/or trade organization. Qualified candidates will have exceptional interpersonal skills and strong writing, speaking and computer skills.
