JOB SUMMARY: Performs superior/quality CT Scans under the guidance of a Radiologist on all ages. Maintains a safe and therapeutic diagnostic radiological environment based on practice standards, radiation safety guidelines that include monitoring. Participates in departmental Performance Improvement activities. Assists in Diagnostic Radiology as needed. Participates in Departmental Performance Improvement activities, staff meetings, current on all licensures and assigned courses (Healthstream). Other duties as assigned. Shall follow the CARES Value Statement of Medical Center of McKinney
Graduate of AMA approved school of Radiology Technologist. Registered with the ARRT or equivalent and licensed with the state of Texas. Acute care facility experience preferred.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Registered with ARRT in Radiology and CT and State of Texas as MRT; American Heart Association CPR/BLS for Healthcare Provider.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Must be proficient with starting intravenous lines. Magnet safety, CT Competence, start heplocks/venipuncture, follow ALARA and ACR scanning guidelines.
Equipment Operation -All CT Operators Console and table -AW Workstation -Power Injectior -R/F, Rad (ED), Cysto, C-Arm, Portable, Digital Fluoroscopy (if applicable)
CT Protocols -Head, spine, extremity, abdominal, chest, Fluroroscopy (if applicable)
Contrast Administration -Contraindications -Venipuncture

SPECIAL DEMANDS: Multi-tasking.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Approximately 100% inside work. May be exposed to dust, fumes or gases occasionally. May be exposed to changes in temperature or humidity occasionally. May be near moving machinery occasionally. Performs tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Possess manual dexterity to manipulate technical patient care equipment. Able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position. Good general health and emotional stability. Must be able to sit intermittently throughout the day. Must be able to stand and move for extended periods of time throughout the day. Must be able to squat, bend, kneel, reach and twist occasionally to frequently. Must be able to lift up to seventy-five (75) pounds frequently and up to one hundred (100) pounds occasionally. Must be able to carry up to thirty-four (34) pounds occasionally, must be able to push or pull up to one hundred (100) pounds frequently.
