Raytheon Mechanical Engineer II in McKinney, Texas

This position requires a U.S. person or the ability to obtain an Export Authorization from the appropriate government agency for non-U.S. persons. Manage Facilities construction projects to include: coordination with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layouts and detailed drawings; preparing bid sheets, schedules and management of contracts/PO’s for construction; reviewing and estimating design costs to include equipment, installation, labor, and materials; inspects or directs the inspection of construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, internal company standards, and schedules. Collects data and analyzes operations and maintenance activities to ensure quality and cost goals are being achieved. Required Skills: Candidate will possess a working knowledge of facilities management fundamentals with a focus on project management. Proficient in the use of MS Word, Power Point, Excel, and Project. Working knowledge of Autocad. Good written, oral and interpersonal skills. Basic familiarity with OSHA regulations and building codes. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings. Ability to understand construction estimates. Desired Skills: Creative, flexible, and innovative team player with the ability to lead / manage $250K+ projects. Knowledge and understanding of Six Sigma processes, principles and tools.
