The Albert B. Alkek Library at Texas State University seeks a proactive, professional, enthusiastic, and courteous individual for the position of Administrative AssistantIII: Research & Learning Services. Reporting to the Director of Research & Learning Services, this position provides administrative support for the Library’s Research & Learning Services (RLS) division, which includes approximately 30 staff who provide assistance to academic library patrons in a variety of ways.
Provide administrative support for the Research & Learning Services (RLS) Director, including facilitating, scheduling, preparation and recording for a variety of meetings. Draft and edit correspondence. Manage division ordering of supplies and equipment. Monitor the Director’s calendar. Assist with Divisional files. Effectively utilize productivity software to develop and maintain resources to support decision making. Collaborate with the Director, and other divisional staff, to coordinate events and promotional initiatives. Complete special projects as identified, including participation on special teams or assistance with a variety of approved divisional projects.
