Candidate must have a working knowledge of general university policies and procedures, information systems, basic audit procedures, electronic financial software, andERPsystems.
Preference will be given to candidates with grant writing/submission experience.Knowledge ofSAPand Travel Tracks software.
Responsible for monitoring and administering budgets at the department/office level, including grant accounting support. Responsible for providing budget change data entry, technical advice and support to department/office account managers.
UseSAPto monitor and reconcile accounting of departmental accounts, including awarded grants and contracts.Reconcile budget and resolve discrepancies.Assist in compiling statistical data and developing information on spreadsheets.Assist with disbursement of funds as directed.Assist with internal and external grant management.Support faculty account managers withREPresearch accounts, processing orders and budget transfers.Give instructions to departments on budget programs and budget development.Assist with submission of new grant/contract proposals and monitor distribution.Prepare travel applications and reimbursements via Travel Tracks.Prepare payment requests and purchase orders.Prepare Personnel Change Requests as required.Vehicle reservations in conjunction with conferences, travel and class field trips.Establish rules, procedures, and/or standards.Assign, delegate and monitor work of student workers.Perform other duties as assigned.

The Department of Geography has 34 full-time faculty members, over 600 undergraduate majors in BA and BS programs, and over 150 graduate students in our Master of Science (MS), Master of Applied Geography (MAG), and PhD programs. The department hosts three PhD programs in geography, geographic education, and geographic information science.
