MSA Safety Field Service Center Technician I/II/III in Pasadena, Texas
We’re looking for a Service Center Technician, who will be responsible for performing service, support and training on MSA detection and protection products for customers and channel partners in the region.
Description of duties and responsibilities:
Provide repair & related services for MSA SCBA, instrumentation, fall protection and related safety products.
Troubleshoot, adjust, calibrate, modify or repair all MSA detection or protection products as required.
Inspect and evaluate products to determine service or repair needs in response to customer requests and problems reported.
Troubleshoot to the failed subassembly, PCB or component using appropriate tools, test equipment and documents.
Perform repairs, tests and calibrations per the appropriate test specifications and procedures.
Requires local travel for service on customer sites.
Manage local inventory and demo equipment.
Process service order transactions and provide quotes, communication and documentation.
Provide MSA product support & training to customers & channel partners as needed
Special knowledge, skills and abilities required:
Experience with repair, service, training or support of protection and detection safety products.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Willingness to travel 0-5% if needed.
Prior experience with the service and support of gas detection instrumentation, SCBA or fall protection products.
Education and experience required:
Associates Degree in electronics or a related technical field OR equivalent military training OR proven experience servicing gas detection instrumentation, SCBA or fall protection products.
This position is available at three different career levels depending on experience, education, etc:
Level one: Less than 2 years of experience
Level two: 2-3 years of experience
Level three: 5 or more years of experience
- 2 or more years of experience in a service or training capacity.
