Assisting Automation team members to program and execute automated testing tools. Will be exposed to coding of automated testing software for Transamerica Life, Health, and Annuity Products. Will be exposed to Actuarial and statistical concepts. The position requires extensive communication and interaction with the business users, business analysts, and all technical resources. Work in an agile/scrum environment under the direction of senior and junior software and QA professionals.
This is a temporary position. Projects may include the following:
Coding in C# to develop tools used in automation.
Assist team with problem resolution
Work in an agile software development environment
Work in multiple areas of technology & actuarial sciences
Use math and programming to implement solutions to complex testing problems
Suggest and demonstrate algorithms used to solve problems
Working on architectures used for continuous automation
We are looking for enrolled students, ideally majoring in Math, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science.
To qualify for internship, applicants must be currently enrolled full-time at a college or university pursuing a specific degree program. Internships are not available for students who have completed their college education or who will graduate prior to the conclusion of the internship.
Experience with at least one Object Oriented Programming Language is preferred (familiarity with C# a plus).
Strong mathematical skills, analytical skills, initiative and attention to detail.
Self-motivated and well organized.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Interpersonal skills for interaction with various individuals and departments.
Desire to work in a team environment.
Must be able to perform multiple tasks.
Must be able to work with remote team members.
