Full-time Co-op: January to June/July/August (6-8 months)

We are seeking high caliber engineers with heavy focus on Mechanical Engineering.

The Co-op program reflects a formal and structured relationship between SJM and selected colleges and/or universities. The programs role is to provide full- time practical work experience on a short-term temporary basis relevant to students’ academic programs while meeting the needs of the division for relevant technical and/or administrative support. Using established concepts, knowledge and procedures, performs assignments of various scope and complexity, developing/implementing solutions for routine to complex problems.

Impact this role will have on St. Jude Medical:

•Design (using CAD software), prototyping, and implementation of product components, test equipment, and manufacturing tools.

•Support the development and execution of test methods and validation protocols, including data analysis and report generation

•Research industry standards and applicability of the standards to St. Jude Medical’s products

•Interaction with production teams to assess and improve manufacturing processes

•Documentation of engineering drawings, test plans/reports, and manufacturing protocols

Your experience(s), education and knowledge will further expand St. Jude Medical’s marketplace success:

• Undergrad or Masters Student with a degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred), Bio Medical with heavy focus on the Mechanical side or related engineering degree.

• Required: Students must be classified as a JUNIOR status or higher. We are looking for students in their upper level courses.
