St. Jude Medical is a Class III Medical Device company that transforms the treatment of some of the world’s most expensive epidemic diseases in chronic pain, movement disorders, cardiovascular disease, cardiac arrhythmia, heart failure and structural heart disease.

We are seeking an experienced, high caliber Director of Program Management to manage the Neuro product development portfolio and members of the Neuro Program Management team.

Impact this role will have on St. Jude Medical:

•This position will responsible for managing and participating with the Program Management team to assure successful planning and delivery of new medical devices and therapies through the new product development process (PDP) for the St. Jude Medical Neuro Business

•This includes all aspects of product development: Strategic portfolio planning and conceptualization, engineering development cycle, and ultimately through operational scale up and commercialization. The director will be responsible for review and approval of detailed project plans, maintenance of timelines and cadence, cross functional resource allocation, and management and planning of program budgets

•To assure success of this business, the Director will be expected continue to grow and develop the Neuro Program Management team to maintain it as world calls program management organization. They will provide day to day work direction, training, goal creation, and mentorship to their team as well as regular performance assessments and annual reviews

•This position requires close partnership with their cross functional team members to assure allocation of program resources, strategic alignment, and resolution of critical issues

Your experience(s), education and knowledge will further expand St. Jude Medical’s marketplace success:

•Minimum 10 years of Project Management

•Minimum 5 years of medical device development experience

•Minimum 5 years direct employee supervision/management

•Business portfolio management

•Technical degree in the sciences or engineering fields

•Proficiency with Project management tools and techniques: scheduling, budget, resource allocation

•Large budget planning and management

Your preferred qualifications and education:

•PMP certification

•Advanced degrees in business or sciences

•Class 3 medical devices/active implantable

•Neuromodulation technology experience

•Experience in clinical settings/working with clinical professionals

•Regulatory body interaction – FDA, Notified bodies, etc.…

•Upstream market development
