Specialist ensures timely verification of insurance benefits and financial clearance when applicable for patient accounts that are scheduled and/or unscheduled. The Insurance Verification Specialist obtains appropriate referrals, complete appropriate payor forms related to notification, communicates with utilization review, calculates patient financial responsibility and documents in appropriate systems to assure correct reimbursement. The Insurance Verification Specialist collaborates with physician and facility to ensure an outstanding patient experience.

The ideal candidate has excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent customer service skills and proper phone etiquette with patients, physician office and facility staff.
