Monogram Residential Trust Marketing Specialist in Plano, Texas

Position Summary:

The Marketing Specialist will act as the public persona behind all media channels and outreach marketing. They are responsible for implementing and overseeing all property level marketing and community relations. They will be the voice and face of the property’s marketing and social media experience as it adds relevant content and enhances the customer experience.

Marketing/Community Relations/Corporate Partnerships

  • On a monthly basis, complete/audit the marketing plan for the assigned properties.

  • Provide weekly and monthly reporting/analysis of marketing results, efforts, sources and their effectiveness to make recommendations to Community Director and Regional Manager of assigned property.

  • Collaborate with the Corporate Regional Marketing Coordinator, Regional Manager, and Community Director to develop and implement short and long-range marketing plans

  • Collaborate with the Corporate Regional Marketing Coordinator to implement innovative, state-of-the-art marketing strategies through various internet websites

  • Responsible for local outreach marketing efforts including creating cost-effective advertising strategies, resident referral programs, preferred employer programs, and other initiatives that generate qualified traffic to assist in achieving or exceeding the assigned property’s leasing goals

  • Partner with the local corporate businesses to refer the company supported corporate housing partner, ATL Solutions, Inc.

  • Maintain inventory of brochures and other collateral materials needed for property marketing including direct mailers, flyers, marketing collateral and/or other print materials

  • Assess merchandising of communities within region to ensure brand compliance in all property marketing efforts

Website Management and Social Media

  • Responsible for the management of fan pages on Facebook, Twitter, Blogs and other networking sites to ensure brand consistency, awareness and audience engagement (for each assigned property)

  • Provide weekly and monthly analysis of social media tools, trends and applications

  • Ensure the day-to-day delivery of all on-site social media campaigns and marketing activities. Duties include online advocacy, community-outreach efforts, promotions, etc.

  • Work with Community Directors to facilitate responses to hot posts across the web for the assigned property

  • Update and maintain accurate content, photography, and functionality of property websites, including links and other services

Required/ Preferred Education:

  • High School diploma, or general equivalent degree (GED);

  • Bachelor’s degree in preferred Marketing preferred.

Required Experience:

  • 3+ year’s marketing or related experience and/or training in marketing or sales

Preferred Experience:

  • Property management experience a plus

  • Lease-up experience a plus

Required Skills:

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suites (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

  • Must have a profound marketing understanding/knowledge of social media networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter, and Blogs with the ability to generate content and build social networks

  • Must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Must have the ability to develop, maintain, and foster relationships at every level among the organization and with external customers

  • Ability to exercise initiative, problem solving and decision-making skills.

  • Ability to establish priorities and coordinate work activities.

  • Ability to work in conjunction with Community Directors, Regional Managers, Regional Marketing Coordinators, associates and prospective residents

  • Must be analytical and able to perform intermediate math calculations

  • Ability to make and implement decisions under conditions of risk and/or uncertainty

  • Excellent presentation/sales skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Supervisory experience a plus

Required Travel:

  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license

  • 80% of travel (in local market)

  • 10% travel outside of market for occasional training and conferences
