Physcian Assistant Full Time Days
Utilize expanded knowledge base of pathophysiology and pharmacology to provide comprehensive health assessment, diagnosis and treatment of individuals with orthopedic health needs. Clinical decisions are formulated in consultation and collaboration with clinic physicians. The Ortho Physician Assistant is additionally involved in education, performance improvement and research.
The Medical Center of Planois a full-service, 427-bed acute-care facility with more than 1,300 employees and over 1000 physicians on staff, representing over 70 specialties and subspecialties. Our main campus in the heart of Plano includes the main hospital and medical offices, an outpatient surgery center, a comprehensive cancer-treatment center, an emergency and Level 2 trauma center, a radiology/imaging center, a comprehensive cardiovascular program, the Center for Lifestyle Enhancement, The Bariatric Institute, Wound Care Center and complete women's and children's services including a high-risk antepartum unit and a Level 3 neonatal intensive-care unit.
Master’s Degree is required. Licensed to practice in the State of Texas by the Texas Medical Board. NCCPA certification. Valid Texas Department of Public Safety Controlled Substances Permit strongly encouraged and a valid DEA certificate. CPR required. 2 Year Physician Assistant experience is required. Ortho PA experience in a hospital setting is required
