The LOT Product Owner will be responsible for identifying and managing product requirements, prioritizing engineering team’s work on features and bugs, and supporting feature launch and rollout processes. Product Owners are holding the vision that will be executed by the Scrum team. As a Product Owner you will be responsible for capturing product ideas from relevant stakeholders, converting them into fully researched and fleshed out features, working with the engineering team during grooming sessions to translate those features into user stories, and validating the feature before the release. You will have the ability to shape the future of our products through your insights, analysis and ability to define, communicate and realize a vision.

  • Being the voice of the customer, motivating product development teams by providing clear goals and driving the incremental value that can be delivered to our customers

  • Reviewing and managing a product idea portal, communicating updates to Services, Delivery, Support and other stakeholders

  • Conduct necessary research, capture use cases and value that will be delivered to the end-user when the feature is complete

  • Work with the Engineering and User Experience teams to provide detailed guidance and prioritization during the product development process in an agile environment

  • Assist the product engineering Scrum team during regular ceremonies: feature review, grooming, sprint plans and demos by being the voice of the customer and communicating the value behind each product and prioritization decision

  • Conduct user acceptance testing on features and bug fixes before they are released, ensuring the high quality of products that are being delivered to customers

  • Plan tech communication initiatives around product releases to ensure that customers have access to comprehensive documentation around new features and enhancements

  • Analyze product and feature performance through the use of quantitative and qualitative methods

  • Communicate to Leadership, Customer Success, Support and other stakeholder’s rollout plans, feature details and bug status updates

  • Drive process improvement through business process definition and system alignment.

  • Maintain product consistency throughout product cycle, to include the design, define and build stages.

  • Build, develop, and grow business relationships vital to the success of software development projects.

  • Able to multi-task across a number of concurrent development streams successfully.

  • Break down feature-level requirements into detail-level user stories that are consumable and testable by a Scrum team.

  • Assess the impact of defects, including providing key input on the decisions to fix or defer.

  • Review and analyze feedback and new requirements from project stakeholders.

  • Ensure that Scrum team deliverables meet agreed upon standards for quality and non-functional requirements, and that the output meets the stated business need.

  • Work with technical writers to generate user documentation.

  • Assist customer support teams, and develop and implement training and communication materials that allow customers to understand the product and changes made to it.

Education/ Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • Strong analytical skills and experience with performing business analytical skills with complex systems.

  • Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing to business partners

  • Must have a desire for achieving excellence in customer satisfaction, process and product quality and reliability.

  • Understanding of the Agile development lifecycle a plus

  • Must be detail-oriented with respect to documentation and communication.

  • Solid understanding and working knowledge of Internet technologies and web-based software development.


  • Minimum of 3 years’ business analyst experience and 2 years of experience as a Product Owner.

  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum work environment

  • Proficiency with Visio, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Experience with work item and defect tracking management systems (g., Visual Studio Online, Jira, etc.)

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Previous experience as a software developer a plus

  • Superior communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership

  • Knowledge of e-commerce, multichannel commerce, online retailing, website user experience, website testing and other marketing strategies a plus

  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority

  • Team player with great work ethic, and a quick learner

  • Diplomatic with negotiation and conflict resolution skills

  • Self-motivated and able to perform without significant supervision
