Baylor Scott & White Health RN Day Surgery in Plano, Texas
We are looking for RNs to work in one of our Day Surgery units.
The Registered Nurse (RN) exhibits and executes Baylor Scott & White Health's (BSWH) Values & Behaviors in delivering and coordinating patient care. Utilizing the BSWH nursing professional practice model, the RN is a licensed professional who is responsible for using clinical reasoning, developing, implementing and evaluating the nursing plan of care, managing both emotional and physical patients, assessing patient and family level of understanding to provide effective communication and education, working collaboratively with medical staff and providing quality care in a compassionate and professional manner.
Our Day Surgery RNs provide quality and compassionate care for patients before and after same-day surgery or an outpatient procedure, and provide psychological support and coaching for patients and their family members during preparation and recovery. Because our Day Surgery units have a rapid turnover of short-term patients, our Day Surgery RNs must have good assessment skills, case management knowledge for short-term patients and the ability to adapt to changing situations.
Ideal Day Surgery RN candidates will have 2 years of RN experience in Day Surgery, PACU, ICU and/or CCU, or 3-5 years of extensive Telemetry experience.
